Back Description: Postcard with text about Braves Field.

Printed Text on Back: FULL HOUSE PLUS. It's Sept. 1, 1933 and the Braves are hosting the first place Giants. Still visible is the concrete wall that bounded the outfield when the park opened in 1915. Bleachers were added in 1928 to shorten home run distances. Braves Field was about one mile down Commonwealth Avenue from Fenway Park and separated from the Charles River by the Boston and Albany RR tracks. Commercial businesses including auto dealers flanked the field on two sides. The Commonwealth Armory was across Gaffney Street beyond RF. Street cars pulled into the grounds next to the Braves' offices and ticket building, which still stands. After the Braves moved to Milwaukee for 1953 season, the ballpark was never used again for major league baseball.
